Welcome to the Fields of the Fallen.

Tread Carefully, the dead rest fitfully beneath every step.

Hel & the Draugr

Draugr are the vanguard of Hel’s efforts to eradicate all that remains of Asgardian life.

Variant:

Stalker

These Draugr excel at tracking and pursuing their prey. They are stealthy, agile, and relentless. They often wield ranged weapons or employ ambush tactics to catch their targets off guard.

Variant:

Rune Caster

These Draugr have the ability to cast necromantic spells using ancient runes. The complexity and power of their spells often depend on their overall power level. Lower-level Rune Casters might only be able to cast minor curses, while high-level ones could summon undead minions or unleash devastating blasts of necromantic energy.

Variant:

Incorporeal Undead

These Draugr lack physical bodies, existing as ghostly apparitions. They can range from minor spirits like wisps to powerful entities like wraiths. They are often immune to normal weapons and can pass through solid objects.

Variant:

Plague Bearer

These Draugr carry within them the essence of disease and pestilence. Their mere presence can cause sickness and decay, and their attacks can infect their victims with virulent plagues. They are often used by Hel as a means of weakening and demoralizing the population of New Asgard.

Variant:

Blood Drinker/Life Drinker

These Draugr sustain themselves by draining the life force or blood of the living. They often have abilities that allow them to weaken or paralyze their victims, making it easier for them to feed.

Variant:

Dream Eater

These insidious Draugr have the ability to invade and feed on the dreams of the living. They can use this ability to torment their victims, weaken their resolve, or even control their minds. They are particularly dangerous because they can attack their victims without ever being physically present.
